Neat MS Office Trick

I use MS Office a lot and I always seem to be pasting text into something like Word or Outlook – I also often need to just paste as the text. 

Before I’ve done the old routine of Edit>Paste Special>Unformatted Text

But there’s a trick.  Copy whatever you need, like a bunch of text with links and such…

Then paste into your document normally (I always use hotkeys, so Ctrl+V).

Highlight the text again with Ctrl+A

Then hit Ctrl+Space – there you go, plain text, but keeping the size and some of the formatting.

Now, to many of you, this may not be all that helpful, but I’ll probably use this 10 times a day since it’s almost all keyboard.  I can’t believe that I didn’t know this trick even existed…

I’ll file this under the rule of “learn something new every day.”
